Congratulations to our First Year football team who recently won Division 2 of the WLGFA PPS First Year competition held in Dungarvan GAA.
The girls played Meánscoil San Nioclás, Gaelcholáiste Phort Láirge and Presentation Secondary School Waterford in their group games and finished on top of the group. They showed great determination, skill and team-work throughout all the group games, where all the girls got an opportunity to play in many positions.
The girls played Gaelcholáiste Phort Láirge in the semi final and met a strong and physical Meánscoil San Nioclás again in the final. The work-rate and attitude of all the girls must be commended again and they came away with a victory to the delight of all. The cup was presented to captain, Carla Hallinan after the game.
A big thank you must go to all who made the day such a success - the WLGFA PPS committee, Dungarvan GAA, the referees and credit to Eddie Dee Photography for the beautiful photos. An Ard Scoil abú!
