On Tuesday, 15th November, Garda Christina Desmond visited Ard Scoil na nDéise with the Silver Medal she won at the European Boxing Championships. Christina travelled to Montenegro with a strong team including Kellie Harrington and returned home with an individual silver medal and team gold.
We were delighted to hear her speak and answer questions put to her by our students. It is wonderful to have a local female role model for our students to look up to and we are very grateful to Christina for taking the time to visit us. On top of this, Christina, very kindly, presented the First Year football team with their medals following their recent win.
