 Seachtain na Gaeilge.

 Bhí Seachtain na Gaeilge ar siúl in Ard Scoil an tseachtain seo chaite agus bhaineamar go léir taithneamh as. Bhí Tráth na gCeist eagraithe ag an idirbhliain do na daltaí sa 1 agus 2 bliain. Bhí duaiseanna d’uibheacha Chásca do na buaiteóirí agus spot duaiseanna dig ach duine eile.

Sa dara bliain; Emma Casey, Lauren Sheridan, Cheyenne Tobin agus Clodagh Keane.
Sa chéad bliain; b’iad na buaiteóiri; Jessica Meere, Orla Hickey agus Catherine Henley.
Ar an Mháirt, bhi an dráma „Cleamhnas“ ar siul le Scoil na mBraithre Críostaí. Comhgairdeas leis na haisteoirí íontacha ón dhá scoil a ghlac pairt ann, Criochnaíoch an lá le Céilidh idir na buachailli agus na cailiní. Cé bhfios dúinn nár eiríodh le “ Cleamhnas” dár gcuid fein as!

As you can see from Ciara’s piece it was a very lively Seachtain na Gaeilge in the Ard Scoil. With the school decked out in our national colours, there was great excitement and fun….as Gaeilge! Thanks to Mrs O’Donovan and her T.Y. students for organizing so many events. Buíochas also to Ciara Drummy for all her help.

Beatbox Percussion Workshops.

 On Monday the 15th and Tuesday the 16th Klaus Vormehr visired the Ard Scoil with his Percussion workshops. Everybody took part from first years to T.Ys .They thoroughly enjoyed this experience and learned so much. We would like to thank our music teacher, Mrs. Lucey for organizing the day. Róisín McComb and Nikita Whelan.

Indeed the school was throbbing to the sounds as the girls learned to play the different instruments.

Fun Run Fundraiser

Don’t forget to return all sponsorship cards for next Friday’s Fun Run. Many thanks to Parents’Council members Theresa Daly and Moira Kearney for organizing this event to raise funds for the school.
