Irish Tax Institute Scholarship Won by Ard Scoil Student Ard Scoil na nDéise is proud to announce that one student from this year’s Leaving Cert class, Lisa Mangan, has been awarded the third level scholarship of the Irish Institute of Taxation for 2009. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of an application completed by the applicant, a school reference and an interview of short listed candidates. To be eligible students must achieve at least 450 Leaving Cert points, a goal which Lisa easily exceeded. Lisa is at present beginning a 4 year course in UCC leading to the BSc (Hons) in Accounting. She plans to specialise in the field of taxation. The Irish Taxation Institute will provide financial support during her undergraduate studies and opportunities to further her studies and qualifications in taxation after her graduation. The Institute will provide a mentor for Lisa to support her in her undergraduate and professional studies. The ITI introduced the scholarship in 2006 to promote an interest in and the study of taxation among young, able Irish students. Lisa is daughter of Peter and Ann Mangan of The Burgery, Abbeyside, Dungarvan. Ard Scoil na nDéise offers congratulations to Lisa and her parents on her notable achievement.
