General Purpose Fee 2009/10
€60 for one student, €100 for two sisters( 50 each ) , €120 for three sisters ( 40 each ). As you know, we rely on the General Purpose Fee to cover major expenses such as photocopying, lockers, use of school equipment, guest speakers, etc. The fee may be paid all at once or by instalments, arranged with your daughter’s Class Tutor.
Pupil Personal Accident Insurance.
The Board of Management requires that all students take out this insurance which costs only €5 per pupil for activities during school hours and €8 per pupil for 24 hour cover.
Pre Examinations.
3rd Year and 6th Year students will sit their Pre-Junior and Pre-Leaving Cert. exams in February. Payment for the Pre-Exam Fees will be due in late January. While students from families with Medical Cards do not pay fees for the State Examinations, unfortunately, no such concession applies for the Pre-Exams. The fees may be paid by instalment.
State Examination Fees.
Fees for State Examinations must be paid by 1st February, 2008, through the bank.
Uniform.
We appreciate your support in ensuring that students wear the full uniform to school every day. Please note that make-up is not part of the uniform. As far as jewellery is concerned, students may wear a ring, a watch and a pair of small earrings.
Supervised Study.
Supervised study will began on Wednesday, September 5th. This extra service has to be financially viable. The fee for this year is €300 and must be paid in advance in three instalments: €100 on September 3rd , €100 on December 3rd and €100 on March 3rd.

NOTE: Cover will commence when the application form and premium is accepted by the school.
Every year an estimated 16,000 children receive hospital! treatment following an accident in school, on the road or at home. In some cases children
are left permanently disabled. For many parents, it will mean financial hardship with costly medical/dental expenses to be paid. As Ireland's leading
schools insurer Allianz has developed a specific Pupil Persona! Accident policy.
There are two options available. The first option provides for school activities and also includes direct travel to and from such activities the cost per
child is €5.00. The second option provides cover on a 24 hour basis for school activities, social, domestic and leisure activities (including holidays)
and the premium for this cover is €8.00 per child. Both figures are inclusive of all Government levies.
We would strongly recommend that you take this opportunity of insurance for your child, the choice of cover is entirely yours. All you need to do is
complete the application form below and return it to the school before 30th September 2007 with the premium of either €5.00 or €8 00 per child
as applicable. ' Summary of Cover and Application Cover
The following are benefits in respect of any pupil sustaining accidental
injury resulting in medical or dental expenses, disablement or death. Schedule of Benefits
1. Death by Accident €25,000
2. Permanent total loss of sight in one eye or
use of one limb €100,000
3. Permanent total loss of sight in both eyes or use
of both limbs or permanent total disablement €150,000
4. Total and irrecoverable loss of hearing in one ear €25,000
5. Total and irrecoverable loss of hearing in both ears €100,000
6. Medical and/or dental expenses not recoverable

No Excess applies to this Policy. Insured Persons
All pupils of the school for whom premium has been paid. Age Limits
Lower Age Limit - 3 years. Upper Age Limit - 22 years. Operative Time (in accordance with the option selected)
• During any school activity taking place with the full knowledge and
authority of the School and including direct travel to and from such
activities; OR
• 24 hour cover including social, domestic and leisure, as well as
school activities. Period of Insurance
From the date the application is accepted by the school principal (or
policy administrator) after the start of the school year to the
commencement date of the following Autumn term. Health Condition
The insurance shall not apply in respect of any claim arising out of a pre-
existing physical defect, infirmity or medical condition. General Exclusions
1. Whilst the pupil is engaged in (or practising/training for) any of the
excluded activities.
2. The pupil committing or attempting to commit suicide, wilful
exposure to needless peril except in an attempt to save human life
or from any involvement in a criminal act.
3. The pupil being intoxicated or having taken any drug (other than
prescribed).
4. The pupil's employment (other than school work experience

Flying (except as a passenger)
Motor Cycling
Parachuting
Power-boating
Water ski-jumping or tricks
Racing of any kind (except authorised school events)
Rock climbing or mountaineering using ropes and/or guides
Motor Competitions
Pot-holing
Skiing, ski-boarding, ice-skating, ice-hockey, the use of skeletons,
bobsleighs, the use of dry ski slopes or any other winter sports.
