School Tour at the top, Talent Show photos middle of the page. School Tour This years trip was to Germany, a great time was had by all. The only complaint that was heard was that there were some very early starts in the morning. We believe that some people saw the sunrise for the first time ever ! There are some photos of the happy group down this page.
Pink Day The 1st yrs recently organised a "Pink Day" in support of the breast Cancer awareness ptogramme. There were some very, very pink costumes to be seen around school. See the photos below
6th Year Ecology Field Trip to Fota Wildlife Park Every Year, the biology teachers in the Ard Scoil take the Leaving Certificate Biology students to Fota Wildlife park for the ecology element of the course. All students thoroughly enjoy the day and it gives them an insight into the work of an ecologist and prepares them valuably for the ecology questions on the Leaving Certificate paper. The students study the woodland habitat and after initial protests get digging and laying traps in order to examine the organisms found in the woodland. It is an enjoyable day out and gives the students a chance to interact with each other the teachers and the animals! In a relaxed setting.
