A new service available to all students of the Ard Scoil.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

We are delighted to let you know that a new online second-hand book service will be available shortly to students of the Ard Scoil through the school website.  Students will be able to buy and sell second-hand books through the site which will be strictly operated and monitored.

In accordance with best practice, parents/guardians must give their consent in order for their daughters to use the site.  Only parents’ contact phone number will be displayed on the site.  Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES are students’ phone numbers to be used.  It is strongly recommended that contact by phone be made by parents at suitable times, e.g. after tea on weekdays and/or during the weekends.  Pupils will be instructed in school on how best to use the site.  Details of books can be placed on the website once permission has been give by you  the parent/guardian. 

The school would like to express sincere thanks to Mr. Eoin Stack and Mr. Scott Simons who created the site and to the Parents’ Council who have funded the setting up of the site.  It is hoped that in these recessionary times this initiative will help alleviate the financial burden on families.

If you would like your daughter to use the site, please complete the attached form and return to the school office at your earliest convenience.  Please note that there is no cost for students who wish to avail of the facilities on the site.
